Why This Site Exists

Most pages about truffle hunting in Tuscany are written by one farm about its own morning in the woods. They are often lovely, and they leave out the three things that decide a booking. A hunt is roughly an hour of walking behind a licensed hunter's dogs, and nobody can promise what the dogs will find. The white truffle has a legal season in Tuscany of 1 October to 15 January, so a hunt in May or July looks for other species. And most hunts start at a farm with no transport, while a few listings name a hotel pickup and then give the farm gate as the meeting point.

None of that is secret. It sits in the regional law and in the operators' own listings. Putting it next to the price is the whole job of this site.
